Will I be completely undressed?
Many massage therapy techniques are easier performed with the patient unclothes, however you will undress to your own comfort level. Throughout the entire session you will be fully covered, the only area exposed will be the area being worked on.
What areas of my body will be massaged?
You and your therapist will discuss the goals and treatment plans for each session. If there is a particular area you would not like worked on, please let the therapist know.
Area there any conditions where massage is not recommended?
Yes, there are contraindications (no-no's!) for massage therapy. Please keep this in mind when filling out your new patient intake form. It is very important for your therapist to be aware of any and all medical conditions.
How will I feel afterwards?
Relaxation is one of the largest benefits of massage therapy. There may be some initial soreness dependent on the type of bodywork performed. Many toxins are released from soft tissue during session, so it is very important to drink plenty of water following the massage to flush them from  your system. All-in-all you should feel relaxed, have reduced muscle tension and increased energy.
